The representative Siauliai City Football Team is the first, which popularizes the 5th TAFISA World Sport for All Games in the sport arenas of the country. The Logo of the Games has appeared on the T-shirts of FC Siauliai.
FC Siauliai is the first professional team of Siauliai City, which has began the cooperation with organizational committee of the Games. One of the club managers, Saulius Lesnickas, said, that the football players, who have initiated this idea, have distinguished the importance of this grand international event for the city, Siauliai Region, and Lithuania: “We couldn’t refuse to contribute to this important event of sport and culture.” The club considers popularizing the Games during the matches, other events, and has invited other sport teams of Siauliai and Siauliai Region to join this initiative.
The old-timer of the club, Deivydas Lunskis said, that the idea of the Games “Active people. Better World.” was essential and close to him. “I go in for sports all my life, and encourage my children to do the same. In my opinion, the more people will go in for sports, not necessarily professional sports, the healthier nation will be. Everything is so close to the idea of the Games”, - explained the footballer.
