1. The Reflections Of The Sun City. The sightseeing tour of the old town starts at the fountain
of Solar disk, then the Renaissance-style Cathedral in Šiauliai, Solar Clock Square, the Talkšos
Lake, the only one Cat Museum of Lithuania, and Šiauliai Aušros Museum of Region History
exhibition are visited. The sightseeing continues in the first pedestrian boulevard in Lithuania

2. The Hill of Crosses – The Expression Of The Nation Belief. Located only 12 kilometers
from Šiauliai, beside highway Šiauliai – Riga, the Hill of Crosses is a historical and architectural
monument, a unique ensemble of folk art. Its peace, spirituality, authenticity, and sacred nature
attracts visitors. The excursion starts from the exhibition in Šiauliai Aušros Museum. The
woodsman is met. The exclusive World object – The Hill of Crosses, where the expression of
the nation belief intertwines with the unique cross-craft, is visited. The duration of the excursion

3. The Hill of Crosses and Šiauliai as Sun City. The Cross-craft was included into the list of
UNESCO “Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity“ in 2001. The archaic
plant ornaments, the motives of “suns”, “birds”, “Life Trees” corresponding to an expression of
sacred space are used as the decorations of Crosses. The exclusive World object – The Hill of
Crosses is visited. After Hill of Crosses go back to Siauliai and continue tour of the old town.
The Renaissance-style Cathedral in Šiauliai, Sundial Square, the Talkšos Lake, the Bicycle
Museum exhibition are visited. The sightseeing continues in the first pedestrian boulevard in

4. Old Handicrafts And Folk Art. The sightseeing starts in Kuršėnai - we get acquainted
with the traditions of ethnic cultures and crafts. We visit the black pottery workshop, watch
the manufacturing process, and try clay modeling. Then we go to the ethnographic street
village, which was found in 1620. We are introduced with the village, the preparation process
of traditional dishes of the village and their degustation. The duration is 5 hrs. Price: 15 EUR /

5. Ecotourism In Kurtuvėnai Regional Park. During this eco-sightseeing we get knowledge
on the cultural and natural heritage of the Kurtuvėnai Regional Park. We go through the natural
cognitive path, which is 4.5 km length, where we can see a very expressive landscape: the
forested hills, the lake overgrown with reeds. We have a tour of the homestead and barn of the
Manor, the first purpose of which was for storing grain, and now it is used for organized events.
We visit in the centre of riding. The degustations of Lithuanian dish – the porridge. The duration

6. Kelmė and Žemaitijos Region. The sightseeing starts in Užventis Water Mill. Then we follow
the Museum of Kelmė. There is an interesting exposition we get knowledge on, i.e. we have a
possibility to try Native American’s (Indian’s) bows. We are proposed to try some tea, which is
made on the fire, and Iroquoian maize cakes. The highest and the longest Lyduvėnai railway
bridge in Lithuania is visited, the height of which is 42 meters and the length is 599 meters. We

7. The History of Radviliskis Region: Burbiškės, Kleboniškiai. The excursion starts in
Burbiškės. We get knowledge on the history of the Manor and have a walk in the park. Then we
go to Kleboniškės Museum of Rural Life, where we get knowledge on the buildings and culture
of rural life in XIXth century and in the beginning of XXth century, and the only one Wind Mill in
Lithuania, which is still functional. We have a possibility to try Lithuanian cuisine in the Mill. The

8. Humor, Beer and Crows: a program in Pakruojis Region. The sightseeing starts in the
dolomite escarpment. We visit Pakruojis Manor, which was built of the excavated local material.
This is the largest Manor ensemble remaining in Lithuania, which contains 34 buildings and a
park. We get knowledge on the crafts and the HBC (humor, beer, crows) program, during which

9. Ecotourism in Kamanu Reservation. The Kamanu bogs cognitive path curves through
the largest swamp in North Lithuania with its islands and peninsulas, surrounded by muskeg

1. Šiauliai – Telšiai – Kretinga – Palanga. The tour starts in the morning in Šiauliai. We travel
in the roads of Žemaitija, and arrive to Telšiai. We visit Telšiai Cathedral, and the Bear – the
symbol of Žemaitija Region. Then we travel to Kretinga, visit the museum of Kretinga and its

the Museum of Amber, which was established in the palace of count Feliksas Tiškevicius. Then

2. Klaipėda – The Sea Gate Of Lithuania. In the morning we start our trip from Šiauliai. When
we arrive to Klaipėda, we move to Smiltynė by ferry, where we visit museum-aquarium and
dolphinarium. We continue the excursion by visiting Kopgalis, the exposition of ships-veterans,
ethnographic fisherman’s homestead, and the old cemetery of Smiltynė. Then we turn back to

3. The Ambers Of The Seashore – Palanga. The trip starts in the morning in Šiauliai. We go
through the hilly Žemaitija region. Lithuania is known as a region of amber, the program The

We go to Palanga, to visit the Museum of Amber, to enjoy the beauty of amber collection, to
have a walk in the botanic park of Palanga, and to visit Birutė’s Hill. We admire the Baltic Sea

4. The Valley of Honey – Panemunė. In a beautiful place of nature, Šilinės village in the
territory of Panemunė regional park, we visit the apiary and meet with its owner-beekeeper.
The beekeeper will present not only the life of bees and the traditions of honey collection, but
also he will give a possibility to try sweet honey. He will also present the variety of honey. There
will be a degustation of honey and its products. Then we visit Raudonė, a Renaissance style
castle and its tower. In Veliuona we visit a complex of archeological mounds: Gediminas’ tomb,
the mounds of Ramybė hill, where the duke Gediminas’ monument stands, the Church of the
assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary, Beldeveris’ manor ensemble and park. Duration of the tour

5. Exciting Kaunas. We go to Kaunas in the early morning. Kaunas is the former fort town
and the temporary capital of Lithuania. We visit the 9th fort, Castel, Laisvės avenue, Laisvės
monument, Presidential palace, the small garden of Museum of War, funiculars, Town hall,
Cathedral Basilica, the Church of Resurrection, the memorial of Vytautas Didysis. We also
visit the museums: National Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis Museum of Art, Antanas

6. Rumšiškes – A Miniature Of Old Lithuania. The trip starts in the morning in Siauliai. We
visit excellent the open-air Etnographic Museum of Lithuania, one of the largest in Europe. The
Museum displays the heritage of Lithuanian rural life in a vast collection of authentic resurrected
houses, farm cottages, brought from the whole Lithuania. The area contains 140 buildings from
the 18th-19th century. It is possible to visit all the Regions of Lithuania - Aukštaitija, Žemaitija,
Dzūkija and Suvalkija – only in a few hours. There are many educational programs offered.

7. Curonian Spit (lith. Kuršių Nerija) – An Amazing Place In The World. We leave Šiauliai
at 8 o’clock in the morning. From Klaipeda we move to Curonian Spit (lith. Kuršių Nerija). We
visit the Hill of Witches, Parnidis dune with the Sundial-calendar, the lighthouse on the Urbo hill,
Dead dunes, house-museum of Thomas Mann, a German novelist, social critic, philanthropist
and 1929 Nobel Prize laureate. Upon request it’s possible to have a cruise in the Curonian

8. Lithuanian Venice – Rusnė, Ventės Horn (lith. Ventes Ragas). The tour starts in the early
morning in Siauliai. We visit the lietuvininkai (Prussian Lithuanians) land, where the water
creates unusual way of life, and where different cottages stand and different dialect is spoken.
We visit these places from Rambynas Hill to Rusnė Island: the old post office of Rusne, the
ethnographic fisherman’s homestead, the panorama of the Nemunas River delta, the lighthouse
and polder station-museum in Uostadvaris, and Ventes Horn ornithology station. Additional
entertainment is cruise in the Nemunas delta or Curonian Lagoon, degustation of fish soap,

9. The Former Capitals Of Lithuania: Kernavė, Trakai. The tour starts in the early morning
in Šiauliai. Kernavė is the first capital of Lithuania. We visit Kernavės St. Virgin Mary Church,
rectory, monument of Vytautas the Great, Grand Duke of Lithuania, and Iron Wolf in Kernavė
town. We visit mounds under the names: Castle Hill, Altar Hill, Mindaugas Hill, Lizdeika Hill and

12. Latvia: Rundale Palace and Riga. In the morning we go to Latvia and arrive to Rundale

Biron, the Duke of Courland. We have a walk in French-style park paths, enjoy the beauty of
